CataractsThumbnailJune is Cataract Awareness Month. Make the most of it by getting the facts. Cataracts are a medical condition that affects the eye, in which the eye's lens becomes clouded. While the greatest risk factor for cataracts is age, if caught early, there are treatment options.

If your vision is starting to look a little hazy, it may be time to talk with your eye doctor. Symptoms of cataracts include a dark, brown, and yellow tinge to the eye, light sensitivity, and halos. Don't wait until it's too late, and don't let your eyes deceive you. Call your eye doctor if you suspect you may have cataracts or notice any of the above symptoms affecting your eye health.

Did you know? According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, eye diseases are more common among older people, but vision loss and blindness are not a normal part of aging. Use the health infographic below to stay informed and get the facts about cataracts!
