Shane Burcaw is in his 20s, and has a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). That means he is slowly losing control of his muscles, which could eventually prove fatal.

There are dozens of clubs all over the state, all participating in the wonder of model train building. And all of them know how model railroading can be a fun and educational way to bring people together.
