Presbyterian Senior Living is proud to announce two of its communities have been recognized on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities. Cathedral Village, Philadelphia, was awarded 12th in PA and 131st in the United States while Pine Run Village, Doylestown, was awarded 13th in PA and 132nd in the United. States.
Surrounded by woodlands, Cathedral Village is a Life Plan Community for active people 55 and over. It offers a full range of studio, one- and two-bedroom Independent Living apartments as well as a complete selection of supportive living options.
Pine Run Village is a Life Plan Community located in Doylestown, PA. It offers a host of maintenance-free independent living options for people over 65 years of age as well as a wide array of supportive living options.

This commitment is also demonstrated through our multiple quality-based accreditations and certifications. We are proud to add this Newsweek accolade to the list.
This is the first time Newsweek – partnering with Statista, a research and analysis service – has awarded America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities. This list is based on three data sources:
- National Online Surveys: Surveys from medical professionals (e.g., registered nurses, therapists, and physicians) and staff working in the management/administration, acquaintances of residents and residents living in CCRCs, etc.
- Quality Dimension Score: For each recommended CCRC, participants were asked to rate the eight quality dimensions on a scale from 1 to 10.
- Accreditations: Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), accreditations relevant for Continuing Care Retirement Communities were considered.
