On Monday, April 1, Dan Davis, CEO/President at Presbyterian Senior Living, announced the promotion of Kate Hershey to Chief Operating Officer. Kate most recently served as Senior Vice President of Operations.
In his announcement on the promotion, Dan noted, “Kate’s passion and compassion for the people we serve is unparalleled. Kate was instrumental in leading the hands-on efforts through the pandemic and has since stabilized the operations leadership to propel PSL into the future.”
He added her transitional leadership skills have allowed PSL to enhance our culture, improve quality and make timely decisions, positioning PSL to quickly adapt and act strategically in its efforts to provide the best services possible to the people we serve.
Kate has been associated with aging services for over 20 years. Once a dietary aide, she advanced her career serving in various leadership capacities, from Admissions and Marketing and Executive Director to her recent Senior Vice President position.
Kate is a native of central Pennsylvania, receiving her undergraduate degree as well as her master’s degree in health administration from the Pennsylvania State University. Katie is also a graduate of the Larry Minnix Leadership Academy through LeadingAge, a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in both Pennsylvania and Delaware, and a Certified Aging Services Professional. She has also served in various capacities on the LeadingAge PA Board of Directors and the Alumni Network of LeadingAge.
