Over 120 people attended two dynamic presentations by Matt Paxton, author and TV celebrity, The one-hour sessions, hosted by PSL’s Kirkland Village, were filled with laughter and tears as he shared information to help people downsize and respectfully preserve what is most important to each of us … the stories not the stuff.

During his upbeat discussion, Matt discussed how to choose legacy items and how to share a legacy with loved ones, neighbors and friends. Key points of Matt’s presentation included:

  • Focus on the finish line: make the decision early
  • Start small
  • Create your legacy list
  • Tell the stories
  • Donate. Donate.
  • Harbor no feelings of guilt. Give yourself permission to do the right thing.

In addition to the lecture, Matt signed copies of his book Keep the Memories, Lose the Stuff and chatted with attendees.
