Considering a move to an affordable housing community? We've answered some of the most frequently asked questions below.
A federal program sets the rents and there are both minimum and maximum income limits. The income limits vary according to the number of persons in your household. Please visit the community site you are interested in to see the specific rents, as they vary per community.
Rents are set for specific apartments depending on whether an apartment was funded through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program, the HOME Program, or a HUD Program. When a community has an available apartment, applicants are called from a waiting list for a specific apartment based on the income they disclosed on the application to determine whether they will ‘income qualify’ for that apartment. Applicants may income qualify for apartments at several different rent levels. The majority of our apartments are not subsidized but we do accept vouchers. For more information, please review the individual community page.
Water, sewer, and trash are included in the rent at all communities. Most communities also include heating and air conditioning in the rent, however, there are a few communities where residents are responsible for electric. For specific information, please check the individual community page.
All of our communities have Supportive Services Coordinators who are available to the residents. Each community is unique with activities offered throughout the year and all encourage resident-led activities in the large common areas that the communities have to offer.
Presbyterian Senior Living is committed to fully embracing the diversity of all persons living and working in our communities so that together, we can foster a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion in an environment free of all forms of discrimination where all people are treated with dignity and respect. Our goal is to cultivate awareness and understanding of personal differences and biases so that an environment of understanding, acceptance, respect and support is established.
Yes! All of our communities are pet friendly. Most communities permit one dog, two cats, or a cat and a dog per residence. For specific information, please contact the community directly.
Rents range from $244 - $1305 depending on the apartment size and income eligibility qualifications. Please visit the individual community page where specific rents and income limits are available.
