Successful Aging Across the Generations

Successful Aging Across the Generations

Updated from the original publication on January 27, 2016.

SuccessfulAgingGenerations.jpegWhat exactly is successful aging? Does it mean being in good physical condition as you age—fully functional and active within your community? Or, is it entirely something more? Successful aging, in fact, goes beyond what you can see on the outside. In the deeper sense of the word, successful aging is measured by what you feel on the inside—specifically how you feel about yourself.

Thanks to programs like Masterpiece Living, the communities of Presbyterian Senior Living have been able to help older adults reshape their thinking about what it really means to age successfully. How do we do this? According to LeadingAge, it comes down to providing a physically active and mentally stimulating lifestyle. At Presbyterian Senior Living, we're doing just that and taking it one step further by providing this across the generations. Stepping onto our campuses, the first thing you'll notice is that there is something for everyone (but you don't have to take our word for it). See for yourself as this mother and son duo share what they like about living at Glen Meadows Retirement Community and how they choose to age successfully.
